Toyoda Gosei reports sales, profits down for full year

Tokyo -- Toyoda Gosei group has reported sales and profits substantially down for the 12 months ended March 2009. The company said sales fell by 17.5 percent to yen 546 380 million (4.276 million), from yen 662 500 million a year ago. The company remained in profit, however, declaring a net profit of yen 3950 million (euro 31 million) down by 87.2 percent on the yen 3080 million declared a year earlier
The company said it expects sales in the coming 12 months to be even lower, at yen 420 billion, and that the comapny will make an operating loss of 3500 million yen.
The japanese company said its sales were dopwn by 17 percent at yen 321 500 million
