ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- Nippon Zeon has said it expects its net profit for the 12 months to 31 March 2009 to be higher than previously forecast.
The Japanese-based maker of nitrile and other elastomers said it has downgraded its sales forecast slightly, to Yen 268 800 million (euro 2040 million), from Yen 270 000 million.
Although the company forecasts operating profit to be lower (Yen 2900 million compared with yen 4000 million), it expects net profit to be higher than the previous forecast at yen 2400 million as opposed to the earlier estimate of yen 1000 million
