Smiley Monroe wins approval from Scottish port

Lisburn, Northern Ireland -- Clydeport Hunterston has chosen Smiley Monroe as its preferred supplier for the procurement of two sectional vulcanising presses to service its Hunterston dry bulk terminal in Scotland.
Northern Ireland based Smiley Monroe Limited specialises in the design, manufacture and service of conveyor belts, screen media, chute linings, rubber gaskets and conveyor spillage control systems for end users and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the UK & Ireland markets, with export worldwide. Industries served range from quarrying, mining and cement to timber, agriculture and recycling.
As preferred supplier, Smiley Monroe will deliver two Canadian made Shaw Almex SVP Sectional Vulcanising Presses, which have been custom designed to suit the customer's requirements. A maximum operating pressure of 175 psi was specified, making this SVP suitable for both steel cord and fabric conveyor belting up to 1600mm wide.
