Cooper Tire's Texarkana plant earns ISO 14001 certification

Findlay, Ohio - Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has received ISO 14001 environmental management system certification for its tyre production facility in Texarkana, Arkansas, the company said 28 May.

“Earning this certification demonstrates the commitment by our Texarkana plant to operating an environmentally friendly facility,” said Carl Montalbine, vice president of Global Quality, Operational Excellence and Information Technology.

The ISO 14001 certification introduces standardised processes to the environmental management system to help minimise the impact on the environment, Cooper said, while also helping employees better understand the environmental issues at the plant.
