Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co.'s Advan sports tyre line will be fitted as original equipment on the Audi Q7, a large high-performance SUV, the company said 29 May.
The tyre, Yokohama said, was selected because of its overall level of high performance, stability at high speeds and excellent braking. Two sizes of tyre will be available for both front and rear, 275/45R20 110Y or 265/50R19 110Y, the company added.
The Advan sports tyre is also standard equipment on the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and Mercedes-Benz's AMG series. In the motor sports field, Advan has been designated the control tyre for the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) since 2006.
