IRSG, ANRPC work together on Statistical data
ERJ staff report (DS)
Kuala Lumpur - Statistical teams from the IRSG (International Rubber Study Group) and ANRPC (Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries) are to meet at the end of June in Singapore to discuss differences in their statistical data.
The two groups met in early 2008, and the June meeting will follow up on the issues raised at that first meeting. The workshop is expected to provide valuable inputs for having further improvements in quality and coverage of data and forecasts on rubber the industry.
The difference between data presented by the two bodies has historically been the subject of heated discussion among statisticians.
