Omnova to increase prices on rubber-reinforcement products
ERJ staff report (R&PN)
Fairlawn, Ohio -- Omnova Solutions Inc. plans to raise prices by 7 cents per dry pound for GenTac-brand vinyl pyridine and by 4 cents per dry pound for GenFlo-brand styrene butadiene products sold into the rubber reinforcement market. The company did not say which regions are affected.
The increases, as allowed by contract, will take effect July 5. The move is necessitated by the escalation in costs of key raw materials, the company said.
