Kobe, Japan -- Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. has established Falken Tyre Europe GmbH, a tyre sales company in Offenbach, Germany, to expand sales of Falken- and Ohtsu-branded replacement tyres in Europe.
The new company, part of its global sales strengthening activities, will start operations in January 2010, Sumitomo said.
Falken Tyre Europe will have about 25 employees when it opens for business. Sumitomo did not give sales expectations for the company.
