Andrew Tinker Retires from TARRC
ERJ staff report (DS)
Brickendonbury, UK -- Dr Andrew Tinker retired on 23rd June after just over ten years as Director of Research at the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC), the UK-based laboratory of the Malaysian Rubber Board. He is replaced by Dr Stuart Cook.
Dr Tinker has spent his working life living in Hertfordshire, but has now retired to his native Yorkshire, where he plans to enjoy walking in the Dales. He will not lose all contact with the rubber industry: he will be editing the planned publication to mark TARRC's 75th Anniversary in 2013.
The book will follow the Research Centre's two other seminal publications to mark the substantial achievements of the first 25 and 50 years, becoming essential textbooks for any polymer student. He will also remain on several influential committees associated with the rubber industry.
