ETRMA publishes annual report
ERJ staff report (DS)
Brussels, Belgium -- The ETRMA (European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers Association) has marked 50 years of service to the rubber industry in its latest annual activity report. A half-century, however, is the least of the organisation's achievements over the last year.
ETRMA reports on the economic crisis; the progress of new legislation; the introduction of legislation on unlabelled oils and on waste management and the use of tyre-derived products, as well as free trade and the ongoing Doha round of talks.
ETRMA represents Europe's tyre and rubber manufacturers. Tyre makers may join as corporate members and share economic and market data. These members include Bridgestone Europe, Continental, Cooper Tires, Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe, Hankook Tire Europe, Marangoni, Michelin, Mitas, Nokian Tyres, Pirelli Tyre, Trelleborg Wheel Systems, and Vredestein.
Non-tyre companies are represented through their respective national organisations. These include: Belgium (Federplast), Finland (RMAF), France (SNCP), Germany (WDK),Italy (Federazione Gomma Plastica), Netherlands (NVR), Spain (Consorcio), and the UK (BTMA).
ETRMA is the sole interlocutor of the tyre and rubber manufacturers to represent and defend their initiatives and interests towards the European Union institutions andany other relevant organisation on a pan-European or international level and acts as the co-ordinator for the European tyre and rubber industry in communication with those institutions so as to ensure effective representation of all its members.
