Vibracoustic's lateral air spring to be fitted on E-class
ERJ staff report (DS)
Weinheim, Germany -- Vibracoustic has launched a new generation of airsprings which can compensate for lateral forces, as well as vertical displacements. The first fitment will be on the front axle of the new Mercedes E-class.
The new development does not introduce excessive frictional forces, which translates to a more comfortable ride for passengers.
The system is designed to reduce vehicle height at high speed, thus improving fuel economy as wind resistance is reduced.
