Dow increases SBR, BR prices

Horgen, Switzerland - Dow Europe GmbH is increasing its prices for all synthetic rubber grades in European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian regions, the company announced 13 July.
The price increases, effective 27 July 2009, are as follows:
Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) will increase by Euro 200/tonne.
Polybutadiene synthetic rubber (PBR) will increase by Euro 240/tonne
Dow said that recent price developments on the monomer side, especially on butadiene, have forced the company to “increase prices globally in order to keep its long term sustainability.â€Â
