Trelleborg develops low-temperature FKM for sealing applications

Fort Wayne, Indiana -- Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has introduce its a new sealing compound. The company said VCT11 is a specially engineered low-temperature fluorocarbon (FKM) material which is particularly suitable for aerospace engine applications requiring high-temperature performance combined with low-temperature capabilities.
Trelleborg said, "Operating at temperatures below -40°F/ -40°C, VCT11 is one of only a few materials that meet the requirements of AMS 7379, the globally recognized specification for low temperature FKMs. It also has an unrivalled low compression set, giving it outstanding stability."
