French tyre makers to reduce delays in paying traders, distributors

Paris -- Large French tyre makers have agreed to reduce the delays in paying their smaller distributors. In an agreement sponsored by the French SNCP, the tyre makers have agreed to pay more promptly between January 2009 and January 2012.
The agreement was approved by decree dated July 8th, 2009 published in the Journal officiel de la République française on July 12th, 2009.
It covers manufacturers, importers and providers of new or retreaded tyres whose activity concerns the SNCP on the on hand and traders carrying out at least 50% of their turnover with the sale of tyres and associated services on the other.
