Arkema buys US Acrylic latex business from Dow

Colombes, France -- Arkema has bought the North AMerican acrylic latex business from Dow Chemical. The agreement follows a ruling by the US ant-trust authorities, after Dow acquired the Rohm & Haas business.
Arkema will acquire the acrylic monomer site at Clear Lake (Texas) and the acrylic latex business (UCAR Emulsion Systems) of Dow in North America for a payment of $50 million.
