UK company recycles steelcord from scrap tyres
ERJ staff report (DS)
Birmingham, UK -- A UK- based recycling company claims to be the first in Europe to offer a solution for recycling steelcord from scrap tyres.
Most scrap metal dealers will not accept steelcord which is contaminated by rubber and textile, but Enviromise claims to have a process which can remove rubber, textile and rust to a high standard.
The company did not give further details, but suggests that the process meets the standards of the metal re-processing industry.
