Michelin UK appoints commercial director

Stoke-on-trent UK -- Michelin Tyre PLC has appointed Malcolm Scovell as Commercial Director with responsibility for the UK and Republic of Ireland.

He brings with him 34 years of experience with Michelin, most recently as Managing Director for the replacement car tyre market for the Nordic countries, based in Stockholm.

Commenting on his new appointment, Scovell says: “My main objectives in the short term will be to ensure that in the current market we identify and manage threats to our business ahead of time and are agile and courageous enough to spot, generate and act on opportunities that occur….this while protecting our customers' and end-users' longer-term interests”.
