Gates launches website promoting industrial belt systems
ERJ staff report (DS)
Denver, Colorado -- Gates Corp. has launched PT Design Source, a website offering application expertise, information on quality products and free software tools to design engineers in the power transmission and motion control fields. Utilising its resources, engineers can optimize system designs to meet specific cost or performance targets.
Three case studies show how Gates can work with designers to develop cleaner, quieter products by replacing roller chains with rubber drive belts
In addition to these case studies, the website offers free software tools to help engineers design drives in minutes; the interactive catalog PartView™ with over 28,000 drive system components and CAD models; and detailed information on solutions to common power transmission challenges, including vibration, contamination and wash down.
