Lanxess celebrates 100 years of rubber

Leverkusen, Germany - Speciality chemicals company Lanxess AG will celebrate the centenary of synthetic rubber's invention by the chemist Fritz Hofmann on Saturday, 12 September 2009 with a scientific colloquium at Gürzenich in Cologne, Germany, the company has announced.
During the colloquium, politicians, economists and industry experts will discuss synthetic rubber market trends, innovations for the automotive industry, sustainable
