ContiTech invests Euro 2.4 M in Hungarian hose plant

Hanover, Germany - ContiTech Rubber Industrial has invested Euro 2.4 million to speed up and improve the manufacture of oil & marine and other high-pressure-hoses at its production facility in Szeged, Hungary, the company said in a recent statement.
The investment will introduce new technology to improve production efficiency and “harmonise all steps in the manufacturing process,†ContiTech said. The start-up of the new production line will allow the development of hoses of up to 40 m long, with an operating pressure of 1380 bar, which is suited to deep-sea drilling operations.
