Freudenberg publishes emission-reducing brochure
ERJ staff report (RD)
Weinheim, Germany - Freudenberg has recently published a 28-page brochure outlining how customers in the automotive industry can cut emissions through its LESS (Low-Emission Sealing Solutions) package.
The company has used its expertise in materials, sealing technology, mechatronics and lubrication to form innovative solutions in engines, drive trains, chassis, brake components, fuel supply systems, energy storage systems and air conditioning, Freudenberg said 23 Sept.
Optimised packages comprising seals and elastomer composite parts, which have been adapted to suit these components, “minimise performance loss in systems and directly contribute to the reduction of emissions,†the company said.
The brochure describes a number of seals and their emission reducing potential, as well as highlighting seals that have been developed for regenerative or synthetic fuels.
The LESS concept also includes solutions that make an indirect contribution to emission reduction, such as components for controlling aggregates, optimizing ignition, or protecting against high charge pressures.
The LESS brochure is available free of charge. For more information send an e-mail to less@freudenberg-ds.com or visit www.freudenberg-ds.com/less.
