Chem-Trend's Mono-Lube improves tyre-curing treatment

Howell, Michigan - Chem-Trend, a global manufacturer of release agents and other process chemicals, has launched an “advanced tyre curing treatment” for the retreading industry that can “significantly increase curing envelope life, while providing easy release from the cured tyre,” the company said 22 Sep.

According to Chem-Trend, Mono-Lube 2006 can extend the typical life of a tyre retread curing envelope by 33-100 percent, thereby reducing the number of envelopes and raw material needed and improving operational efficiency, the statement said.

Unlike conventional envelope treatments, which require multiple applications, Mono-Lube is engineered so that it requires only one application for the life of an envelope, the company said, adding that it “consistently maintains its performance integrity - especially important when adhesives might otherwise stick to the envelope and cause tearing when removed by the operator.”
