Michelin to lay off 350 as part of Opelika closing

Opelika, Alabama -- Michelin North America Inc. will lay off 350 workers at its Opelika, Alabama, plant as part of its ramp-down efforts at the facility.

The plant, a BFGoodrich production facility, will close Oct. 31, as the tyre maker had announced earlier this year. The layoffs are effective Oct. 2.
