JohnDow completes asset purchase of parts supplier

Barberton, Ohio -- Automotive shop equipment and supplies maker JohnDow Industries Inc. (JDI) recently completed the asset purchase of Dynamic Merchandising Inc., a national supplier of automotive fasteners, hardware and parts.
JDI said the acquisition is part of its ongoing effort to further diversify its product offerings in the automotive aftermarket industry. The company did not provide financial details of the deal.
Dynamic, based in Madison Heights, Mich., will now be known as “Dynamic Automotive Fasteners & Supplies,†a division of JDI. Mike Davidson, Dynamic's owner, has joined JDI as its new national sales manager for the Dynamic business.
According to JDI, Dynamic's operations will be relocated to JDI's 110,000-sq.-ft. production and distribution facility in Barberton.
Dynamic's product categories include brake and fuel lines; tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) components; body shop hardware; wheel studs and nuts; drain plugs and gaskets; and electrical parts.
Mark Pfleeger, JDI's vice president of sales, said “the addition of Dynamic and its product categories extends our product offerings even further and it will be a valuable member of the JohnDow Industries family.â€
JDI's brands include Fuel Chief-Portable Fuel and Handling; Crew Chief-Used Oil and Fluid Handling; EuroVent-Vehicle Exhaust Extraction Systems; JohnDow-Automotive Service Equipment; and ShopRX-Automotive Service Supplies.
