Bridgestone to supply tyres for Airbus A350 XWB

Brussels - Bridgestone has been selected to supply tyres for the Airbus A350 XWB (eXtra Wide Body) passenger airliner, Bridgestone Europe NV/SA announced 8 Oct.

The aircraft will be fitted with Bridgestone's advanced radial construction (RRR: Revolutionary Reinforced Radial) tyres, the statement said.

The advantages of using RRR tyres, Bridgestone said, include reduced fuel consumption and enhanced cost management, higher abrasion resistance and enhanced safety and durability.

Bridgestone has also been supplying RRR tyres for the Airbus A380 since October 2007. (RD)
