Asia-Pacific to take over half of all butadiene by 2015

Beijing -- Merchant Research and Consulting: has published a new report titled, Butadiene Market Outlook 2009. The 135-page report was first published in September 2009 and is available for a price of around Euro 1500, depending on delivery options.
The publishers say, "e report analyzes worldwide markets for Butadiene, including Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. It provides the most complete and current analytical account of the following areas: Butadiene producers, plant-by-plant capacities, supply/demand, future demand trend forecasts, Butadiene prices, international trade, upcoming projects. Production by company, Butadiene imports and exports, prices are presented for each region. ."
It notes that Butadiene production facilities are shifting to Asia and regions like central Europe and away from the US, western Europe and Japan. The North American market has weakened since the downstream demand in the auto, tyre replacement and electronics industries has moved to Asia.
The report adds, "Butadiene future looks perspective with major growth concentrated in Asia where demand will grow to 53% of the global total in 2015 from 45% in 2008. Rapid growth is forecast for the Middle East as new butadiene derivatives production capacities are added. "
