Marangoni adds new lines to winter retreading range
ERJ staff report (RD)
Rovereto, Italy - Marangoni, an Italian tyre manufacturer based Rovereto, has added two new lines to its precure Ringtread winter tyre range, the company said 27 Oct.
Grip series 60 and 70 are designed central European climatic conditions whilst RSY397 is for long distances in extreme conditions, the statement said.
Developed for snow-covered, slippery roads, Marangoni's Grip pattern is being used to retread new generation 60 and 70 series tyres, which are “increasingly in demand,†the company said. The profile has circumferential grooves for driving stability, with a number of sipes and a bridge between the cross grooves to prevent the risk of breakage inside the blocks, Marangoni added.
RSY397, used in extreme winter conditions, has a specific profile for use on drive axles and should be fitted on the vehicle at the beginning of winter season and then be used over a 12 months period. “The tyres have an aggressive pattern that ensures safe travel even in extreme conditions; subsequently, as it wears out, the tread assumes the characteristics of an all-position pattern and is thus well suited to be used for the remaining months,†the tyre manufacturer said.
