China to need more EPDM
Rubber & Plastics News
Houston - By the end of next year, China's production of ethylene-propylene rubber will reach 50 000 metric tons, but that annual capacity still will be 100 000 tons short of demand, according to a new report.
The figures come from the “Elastomer Bulletin,†the first in a series of reports developed jointly by the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers and the China National Chemical Information Center.
The new report focuses on the emerging EPDM market in China, where the supply shortage gap provides a promising business opportunity for the Chinese market, according to the IISRP.
For report also contains the IISRP's supplemented forecast data of supply and demand for the global and Asian markets, according to Leon Loh, the IISRP's general director of programmes.
