Rapra re-releases book on history of rubber greed

"Rubber - A Story of Glory and Greed" was the first attempt at a comprehensive history of rubber, when it was first published in 1936. It is targeted at the general reader, it's both informative and entertaining. It will also be interesting to students of the history of science, as well as to those who would like to know more about the background of the rubber that they are working with.
The 446-page book was re-published in September 2009. The authors are brothers Howard and Ralph Wolf. Howard was a journalist in Akron and Cleveland; while Ralph was a chemist and inventor. Together they this history of rubber from its discovery by Europeans in the jungles of South America, through the trials of Charles Goodyear, and the development of his vulcanised invention into a major industry with its headquarters in Akron.
