Cooper taps former Ford executive as VP and CFO

Findlay, Ohio - Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named Brad Hughes, former global product development controller for Ford Motor Co., as its vice president and chief financial officer, succeeding Phil Weaver, who plans to retire at year-end.
Mr. Hughes, who has been a Ford employee since 1986, has held roles as finance director for Ford's South American Operations unit in Sao Paulo, Brazil; director of European business strategy and implementation in Cologne, Germany; European manufacturing controller in Cologne; and other corporate finance and treasury positions.
Prior to joining Ford, Mr. Hughes worked for Detroit-based Fruehauf Finance Corp.
