Ukraine company claims 'low-temperature' pyrolysis
ERJ staff report (DS)
Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine -- Coral Group - an innovation technologies R&D Holding from Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine claims to offer an economically sustainable pyrolysis system for tyres. This system differs from others in that the process takes place at around 380 degrees C.
Roman Berezin, the company's International Bureau director said, "You need 400 degrees to break down a tyre. Most companies do that by surrounding the tyre from the outside with a much higher heat. That process produces mostly heavy oil, while our technology uses an electromagnetic system to heat the tyres from the inside. Every tyre has steel cord running through it and we use that to heat each tyre to a uniform heat of 380 degrees."
He added that Coral Group has 32 experimental technology projects in development and five in the realization stage.
Coral's technology is being promoted by Israeli group. Pelmar Engineering.
