Collonge, Takemura win IISRP awards

Houston, Texas -- Eliokem S.A.S's Jacques Collonge and JSR Corp.'s Yasuhiko Takemura have won the top honors from the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers.
Collonge, who retired as CEO of Eliokem in 2008 and created Katosan, a consulting firm, will receive the General Award from the institute for his contributions to the industry and the IISRP. He served in a number of capacities with the IISRP, including treasurer from 2003-2008.
Takemura will receive the Technical Award. He is noted for developing new grades of nitrile rubber for the improvement of rubber products, NBR grades for electrical and electronic materials, and new hydrogenated polymers extending thermoplastics elastomer applications in the field of polymer modification. He retired from JSR in 2003.
The two men will receive their honors at the IISRP's 51st Annual General Meeting, which will take place in Dubai the week of April 12.
