Another 100th: Michelin's red guide to Germany

Paris -- Michelin's Red Guide guide to Germany celebrates its centennial edition. The 2010 guide is published today.
the 1,440-page Guide includes 1,515 restaurants and 4,332 hotels across all comfort and price categories. Of these, 73 hotels were listed in the original 1910 version and are marked with a laurel wreath.
According to the Michelin Guide Germany 2010, the country's leading cities for gourmet dining are Berlin and Hamburg, each with 11 one-star restaurants. Hamburg has one newly promoted restaurant while Berlin has two. With an additional two-star restaurant, Berlin is top-ranked. Munich is well-established as an important fine-dining center with two two-star and six one-star restaurants.
