Cheng Shin to build truck, bus, car tyre plant in China - report

Taipei, Taiwan -- Cheng Shin Rubber is to builld a plant in China to make tyres for trucks, buses and passenger cars, according to China Knowledge, a Chinese market intelligence report.
The investment wlll be NT 12 000 million (Euro 250 million) and the plant is due to come onstream from June 2011, said CK.
The capacity will be 14 000 units/day including up to 3000 bus and truck tyres, said CK, quoting an un-named financial executive of Cheng Shin Rubber, CK said the executive commented that the new capacity will help raise Cheng Shin Rubber's passenger car tyre output capacity by 10% to 15%.
