Lanxess to make custom Therban grades for Eriks

Leverkusen, Germany - Lanxess AG''s Technical Rubber Products (TRP) business unit has signed a trademark license agreement with the industrial trading company Eriks based in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.
The agreement involves grades of Lanxess high-preformance HNBR material trade named Therban.
Eriks, a globally operating distributor of industrial components for sealing, hose, drive and joining technology will in the future use custom-manufactured grades of Therban for its hydrogenated rubber seals. These grades will be manufactured according to Eriks specifications.
Oliver Lips, head of Applications Advice and Sales at ERIKS, says: “As a result of this agreement, we will cooperate even more closely with Lanxess. We will have a direct line to the polymer manufacturer, who informs us about technical specifications and the know-how of application.
