Condom market is studied
ERJ staff report (DS)
Dublin, Ireland -- Bizacumen has published a new report titled, Condoms - A World Market Review . The 114-page report was first published in November 2009 and is available for a price of around Euro 2000, depending on delivery options.
The publishers say, "Condoms play a crucial role in the control of sexually transmitted infections. Further, of the various methods of contraception presently available, condoms effectively offer protection against unwanted pregnancies. Governments in developing countries are encouraging use of condoms as a means to curtail sexually transmitted diseases and to limit population growth. Public health campaigns promoting greater awareness, commercial advertising, expanded distribution channels, and use of condoms by unconventional users such as gays have also resulted in an unprecedented increase in sales. Further, a shift in product positioning is taking place from health to fun coupled with introduction of innovative products such as pleasure-oriented/enhanced sensation condoms."
ERJ has not seen this report and can make no comment on the quality of the research or of the conclusions.
