ERJ staff report (DS)
Beijing -- Apollo Tyres held the first gathering of its top Business Partners in Beijing, China, over the weekend. Known as the Apollo Grand Masters Conclave, the meeting comprised an elite group of Business Partners from across the world, selling the Apollo range of passenger car tyres.
The Seven Wonders of the World initiative for high performing Business Partners in the passenger car tyre segment was launched in 2008. From India 170 Partners qualified and 16 more from countries as far flung as Greece, Ireland, Cambodia, Lebanon, Philippines, Jordan and Turkey. Each of these Partners have over the course of the past 12 months, overshot their projected sales targets.
Commented Satish Sharma, Chief, India Operations, Apollo Tyres Ltd, “Meets like this are extremely meaningful. It is an opportunity to ensure that each one of our plans is validated by our Business Partners. This creates trust and transparency and allows them to undertake better business projection. Beijing was unique, since for the first time, along with Partners from India, we also have 16 Partners from various countries across the world. The diversity of opinion that we have received here, sets Beijing apart from any such meet conducted earlier.â€
