ExxonMobil appoints polyolefins auto sales manager

Paris, France - ExxonMobil Chemical, which supplies polymer solutions, including specialty elastomers, polymer modifiers (PM) and butyl polymers to the rubber industry, has appointed Thierry de Barneville as its global polyolefins automotive sales manager, a recent company statement revealed.
Based in Paris, France, de Barneville will be responsible for polyethylene, polypropylene and Exxtral performance polyolefins to the automotive industry.
According to ExxonMobil, Exxtral polyolefins are becoming increasingly popular with global automotive designers and processors because they offer opportunities to “reduce weight and cost without sacrificing performance,†and provide outstanding surface hardness, good “fit and finish†characteristics, fast cycle times and are available globally.
The appointment reinforces ExxonMobil Chemical's commitment to the automotive compounds market and further aligns the company to meet the needs of OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, the statement added.
