Emery Oleochemicals names UK additives distributor
By David Eldridge, Plastics & Rubber Weekly
Emery Oleochemicals has appointed IMCD UK as distributor for the Edenol and Loxiol plastics and rubber additives ranges in the UK and Ireland.
Emery, a joint venture between PTT Chemical International and palm oil producer Sime Darby Plantation, says it is the world's largest producer of natural based oleochemical products.
The Loxiol brand covers a range of lubricants, while the Edenol range consists of low and high temperature plasticizers, release agents, anti-static, anti-fogging, antiblock additives and viscosity modifiers.
Taking effect from 1 January 2010, the deal will see IMCD UK handle the Edenol and Loxiol product ranges and support the ongoing direct sales activity of Emery Oleochemicals. It will hold a comprehensive inventory of the products at its Cheshire based warehouse.
IMCD Group is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and comprises a network of companies in marketing, sales and distribution of speciality chemicals and food ingredients.
