Malaysian NR production increased in October

Kuala Lumpur -- Reversing a long-term trend, production of Natural Rubber in Malaysia increased to 77 620 tonnes in October, up by 16.7 percent on the same month a year earlier and up by 0.5 percent on the previous month.
Following the relaxation of export restrictions, exports grew by a massive 73.8 percent on the previous month and by 26.6 percent on the same period a year ago, to 82,101 tonnes -- more than the country's entire production.
Imports also increased, to 74,557 tonnes, up by 85percent on the year-ago figure and up by 24.7 percent on the previous month
Thus, domestic consumption was 41 365 tonnes, up by 14.6 percent on the year-ago figure
