Kraiburg compounding to offer ultra-thin calendered sheets
ERJ staff report (DS)
Waldkraiburg, Germany -- Kraiburg rubber compounding is to offer high quality calandered plates produced down to 0.3mm on a new roller unit. The new products will be available from January 2010.
The production line sets new quality standards thanks to a cold-feed pin-type extruder that ensures gentle and uniform heating and mixing of the material, which is then processed to calendered sheets in thicknesses of 0.3 to 10 mm, a maximum width of 1500 mm and in any desired lengths. Kraiburg said the sheets are almost 100 percent blister-free.
Kraiburg said, "The combination of automated roller gap adjustment and integrated online thickness measurement guarantees perfect dimensional accuracy during production. "
