Pelmar develops new agricultural tyre testing machine

Ramat-Hasharon, Israel -- Pelmar Engineering Ltd. has developed a new agricultural tyre uniformity testing machine to cover the complete AGR rim size range from 18-inch up to 42-inch, a 4 Feb company statement said.
According to Pelmar, the new testing machine -- “the first of its kind†-- will have a capacity of 20 tyres per hour and will be unveiled at the Tire Techology Expo 2010 in Cologne Germany held from 9-11 Feb 2010.
In the statement, the Israeli company highlighted recent increases in “on the road services†for tractors as the driving force behind the move, commenting that tractor manufacturers are now designing vehicles capable of higher load capacities and speeds up to 70 kilometres per hour.
