Environment Agency to promote PAH oil message at Brityrex
ERJ staff report (DS)
Manchester UK -- Organisers of Brityrex (5, 6 and 7 October at Manchester Central, formerly known as G-Mex) have said the UK Environment Agency will take a stand at the show in order to promote new legislation on PAH oils.
The legislation -- which came into force throughout Europe in January 2010 -- has been subsumed under European REACH legislation, and will therfore be enforced in the UK by Heath and Safety officials.
Claire Cox from the EA's Chemical Compliance Team explains: “Brityrex will provide the ideal opportunity for us to talk to the tyre trade about this development. We need to inform, educate and advise manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers about the new legislation so they can take steps to comply with it.
