Akron, Ohio -- Goodyear has begun producing a rock mining (RM) haulage OTR tyre design in size 27.00R49.
The design, developed from the tyre maker's successful RL-4M+ tyre, features extra-deep tread for enhanced tread life, interlocking stability blading to promote a solid footprint and high angle grooves for traction and cleaning, the company said.
Akron-based Goodyear plans to produce the tyre in size 46/90R57 beginning in the second quarter, sizes 33.00R51 and 37.00R57 in the second half and sizes 59/80R63 and 53/80R63 by 2011.
