Trelleborg Sealing to expand logistics unit in US

Fort Wayne, Indiana -- Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is expanding its logistics operations in Fort Wayne and will move its Supply Chain Management (SCM) Americas to its existing HQ building there. The company currently has three locations in northeast Indiana and employs more than 300. As a result of the expansion, Trelleborg will add up to 46 new jobs and invest $1.8 million by 2013. The project will begin in August and is scheduled for completion in October.
The company will invest in remodeling and upgrading the facade and interior of the 38,000 sq. ft. office building and will make cosmetic and lighting improvements to the 90,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Trelleborg Sealing Solutions will also add mobile picking equipment, conveyors, packaging equipment, racks and information technology and telecom hardware to the facility.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Trelleborg up to $325,000 in performance-based tax credits based on the company's job creation plans. The Fort Wayne Common Council will consider additional property tax phase-in at the request of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance.
