Airboss of America shows strong Q2 sales growth

Newmarket, Ontario -- AirBoss of America Corp. has reported results for the three months to 30 June 2010. Sales increased 15 percent over Q1 2010 and 28 percent over Q2 2009. This increase in sales was driven by the Rubber Compounding segment which increased by 24 percent in the quarter as volumes in North America continue to rebound. Sales of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (“CBRNâ€) protective wear by the AirBoss-Defense division also continued their strong performance increasing by 10 percent in the quarter compared to the same period a year ago.
Net Sales amounted to $62.01 million compared with $48.54 million a year previously. Gross margin rocketed, to $8.716 million, from $886 000
