Small fire at Dunlop Hanau. Three slightly hurt

Hanau, Germany -- Three employees were taken to hospital as a precaution against suspected smoke inhalation injuries, following a fire at Goodyear-Dunlop's plant in Hanau earlier this week.
The fire, timed at 07:55 local time on 10 August resulted in thick smoke, but minimal damage. A report from the local fire brigade reported no contamination and no risk of contamination to the workers or the general public.
A statement from Goodyear-Dunlop said The fire originated in a tyre grinding machine, where rubber dust ignited due to frictional heat. The local fire brigade was on hand and extinguished the fire in 15 minutes. Goodyear aid its operations were not materially affected and no deliveries or production were delayed by the incident.
