Yokohama's AVID ENVigor finishes first in US tyre testing event

Fullerton, California -- Yokohama Tire Corp.'s AVID ENVigor performance tyres tied for first place in Tire Rack's high performance tyre testing event, a 17 Aug Yokohama statement said.
Competing against three of its main competitors the ENVigor ranked first in fuel consumption, all wet test track categories, wet lap times and wet average cornering, as well as tied for first in the wet slalom. Tire Rack said the ENVigor has “Excellent wet and dry traction.â€
The ENVigor is described by Dan King, Yokohama vice president, sales and marketing as “the most complete performance tyre ever created.†Launched 1 March and available in 69 sizes for applications covering entry-level and high-performance to luxury coupes and sedans.
According to King, placing first in Tire Rack's real-world road ride fuel consumption test (28.7 miles per gallon and 522.4 gallons used to go 15 000 miles) “helped confirm the ENVigor as the only high-performance tyre that successfully blends all-season performance, superior comfort, enhanced traction and handling, with remarkable fuel efficiency and long treadlife.â€
