Goodyear named a Gulfstream 'supplier of year'
Tire Business staff report
Akron, Ohio -- Goodyear's aviation business has been named one of Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.'s 2009 Suppliers of the Year.
Goodyear supplies the jet aircraft manufacturer with its Flight Eagle tyres, which are produced at Goodyear's Danville, Virginia, plant.
To qualify for the award, Goodyear in 2009 achieved consecutive 100-percent scores on a quarterly supplier measurement rating card, which Gulfstream uses to track overall value, delivery, quality, customer service and compliance for all its suppliers. This is the second time Goodyear has received the award.
The Akron-based tyre maker manufactures aviation tyres in the US, Thailand, Brazil and the Netherlands.
