Bridgestone Europe to raise tyre prices
ERJ staff report (DS)
Brussels -- Bridgestone Europe NV/SA has announced that it will increase prices on all consumer, commercial, and speciality tyres from October 2010.
Depending on the market & product category, prices will increase by 3 percent to 6 percent.
Commenting on the announcement, Makio Ohashi, CEO and President of Bridgestone Europe stated, "The increase in the cost in raw materials has continued and reached a historically high level. We have to recover some of those costs by this price increase and most probably further increases will be necessary in the coming year."
